Our recent publication in Freshwater Biology (Long-term persistence of freshwater mussel beds in labile river channels) is featured as the cover article. A link to the cover and issue TOC is here.
A new video highlighting many great aspects of the broad and interdisciplinary offerings of the CSEE department at UB (I make a quick appearance around the 4:45 mark!): I attended the 61st Annual Conference on Great Lakes Research in Toronto, Canada, June 18-22 208, where I gave a talk on quantifying eDNA shedding and decay rates to model downstream transport of freshwater mussel eDNA.
Honored to have Doug Levere from UB Communications visit us in the lab to document some of our recent work. Check out some of his great images at: https://ubphoto.smugmug.com/Years/2018/180195-Geography-Brandon-Sansom-Lab-Ellicott-Wilkeson/i-5bRgtsQ
I will be attending the Ecological Dissertations in the Aquatic Sciences XIII (Eco-DAS) this upcoming October in Honolulu, HI. I am excited to contribute to the growing interdisciplinary focus of aquatic sciences and look forward to meeting and collaborating with like-minded early career scientists!
